Day 21,
- BMI: 26.61
- Weight: 76.9
- Age: 26
- Exercise/ Total Time: 27 / 39
Wow. Three weeks. Wow. World of Warcraft. Both take up the same amount of time. I must admit. I am fairly (READ – Fairly = Really) drunk atm. We went around to a freidns place for roast and wine. Much more of the later consumed than the former. Good for having drinks and laugh ans storeid ans watching funny youtube videos. Bad for playing Wii Fit. When I first read the little “warning” saying “Warning” you could fall off. I was a little scepitcal – ‘ah fall off a virtually falt oject that doesn’t move?’ This wan’t like the rodeo surfboard at the Work Sales Conference (Where coincidentally I was also drunk, but fell fo the moving thing a lot). This was at home on a flat surface. But apparently you can. Coincidentally while drunk.
I had every intention of doing a big session today – i had time, felt fine…. but then the screen became blurry, and as i don’t wear glasses nor contacts this worried me to the point I stopped. Although 27 minutes isn’t bad and I probably could have fit one more in, but better safe than sorry.
There was far too many cases where i got from a lying position (today was yoga yoga yoga) so a kneeling position and would just keep moving once I got up, hence falling the other way.
I also dropped pen while writing notes. While I was actually trying to concentrate on to holding it.
Day 20,
- BMI: 26.75
- Weight: 77.3
- Age: 26
- Exercise / Total Time: 30 / 49
0.3kg away from starting rate. Fuck that.
I did a lot more aerobic exercises than the last couple of days, it felt good. I did the 10+minutes of hula hooping. Oh how I hurt. I did step (and sucked) but got up a real good sweat which is the first big one in a while. I even did 2 mintues of jogging (and followed the dog, so went secret way!)
I know of someone who went off and purchased a Wii the other day, with the intention of getting Wii Fit (you know because her Gym membership isn’t enough wasted money spent on health – she doesn’t go after all).
Lent her some games, the little party ones, I don’t think that she’s up for the Zelda’s etc of the world. She barely has enough time in the day as it is.
Unfortunately Fortunately Unfor… She couldn’t find one. Apparently as sold out as Mario Kart (wtf? That’s sold out too?) Well According to Rose Lappin of Nintendo Australia “If I had another 100,000 Mario Karts and another 100,000 Wii Fit there would be a lot more happier people than what we’ve got now as far as retailers go because trying to support catalogues, rainchecks even, since the launch has been difficult.” (Screen Play, SMH).
Now I don’t know if they mean worldwide or Australasia, but that’s a hell of a number to think you can sell. In fact, to think there are still people in America, who cannot get one because they cannot stay on shelves, is beyond belief for me – particularly 18 months down the track and particularly because I don’t think I would have to search that far to get one here in Australia.
Day 13,
- BMI: 26.44
- Weight: 76.4
- Age: 26
- Exercise/Total Time: 31 / 48
I made up for yesterday by…. well by doing 1 extra minute. 30 minutes is good for me – and if I kept it consistentantly? Well it might actually do some GOOD.
13th day – over two weeks. With only one tiny slip upish – so far.
This dedication to it, is hard.
Day 11,
- BMI: 26.44
- Weight: 76.4
- Age: 20
- Exercise/Total time: 14 / 22
Did the long run today. Also got 4 stars, and the highest score on the advanced step. Don’t think it does much good.
Day 9,
- BMI: 26.40
- Weight: 76.2
- Age: 32
- Exercise/ Total time: 31m / 39m
I can’t do push ups to save my life. I don’t think i could do a chin-up either. Even when I was young and sprightly those were impossible things.
It annoys me that i get high scores for collapsing, tipping over, being unsteady and perhaps worse of all doing ‘girl-pushups’ (ie on your knees). 10 is just too much for the first/easy/basic setting particularly when it is the 2nd exercise in the muscle game.
My Wii Age was pretty horrible today. Who would have thought it possible but I stuffed up the walking test. (you knwo where you walk 20 steps?) Maybe I was leaning to one side or something I don’t really know because
- I wasn’t really paying attention and
- I wasn’t really caring.
I would like some mroe variety out of the tests. I did the Ultimate Balance test again today – and again didn’t get it. I’d probably have to cheat to make it.
Got further than I had before in the river ball rapid game. Got about twice as far as before – and keep dying at that harsh little junction a few meters (well hopefully, i don’t know i never reached it) from the end. 5 times in a row I tried it today – before going on to other things (like the tightrope which i then failed miserably).
Unlocked a couple of challenges today – haven’t tried them though, thought I would leave that until iw as less tired. Did a lot of the step games today also – and figured out that the green ones are a trick. Far better to jsut use them as normal pink steps. and I don’t clap either.
Day 8,
- BMI: 26.57
- Weight: 76.7
- Age: 20
- Exercise/Total time: 31m / 49m
Ah, no pain.
Not that I’m actually trying to hurt myself, but today was nice. I felt like I was getting somewhere with these exercises. There were a couple that I thought I’d never get the hang of – and here I am getting the hang (although far from perfecting).
Gripe of the day – the triangle. WTF!?!?!?!
It has to be the most silly, bizarre things I’ve ever attempted. And I’ve base-jumped off a building. Its not that I did badly in it – but it just, hmm. Although this must be the day for strange exercises – I also unlocked that last balance game (the one where you sit on the balance board).
Unlike the last 3 days where I’m weighed myself from 2pm til midnight. I stuck to my time that I used for the first 4-5 days. And if I go by that measurement – I’ve lost barely anything since I’ve been doing this. Not that I wanted a quick fix or anything (well actually yeah) but people on the Biggest Loser always lose weight most in the first week/s. But they also generally throw up. So I came up with the following equations.
- Losing weight = throwing up
- Drinking alcohol = throwing up
- Losing weight = drinking alcohol
I’m enjoying writing these posts. More relaxing than Wii Fit – although mayeb once i practice that triangle some more I might be more calm and centred.
Day 7,
- BMI: 26.47
- Weight: 76.4
- Age: 22
- Exercise / Total Time: 21 / 40
Spot on my age for my wii fit age. Maybe it takes into account that 22 year old are generally drunk that time of night, as I was, if not, I have no idea how I did so well.
I was still trying to get better – and as I predicted earlier this week has not been a good one. Even though Wednesday’s are my early day off, I seemed to be chasing every man and his dog and doing everything i could not to go crazy.
Plus sides of today include having enough stamps to unlock another stamp – and its a blue star (awww…) but this is one I like – and see myself using for quite some time to come. So changed it to a blue star, and unless some really cool stamp reveals itself I’ll stick with this – I dunno the foot just got to me, and as fun as it is to put an upside down orange foot stamp in my calendar – now my calendar looks strange.
I also started a graph in excel so that i can look at how well or bad I’m doing without having to use the silly wii remote. Its great for games, but trying to scroll through progress bars ARGGH!!!
Unlocked and then tried the snowboarding. I can sum it up accurately in the wording and physical form below:
Day 6,
- BMI: 26.44
- Weight: 76.3
- Age: 22
- Exercise/Toal time: 12 / 24
I full intended to work out more today – not because Iw as feeling much better but becuase my idea was to average about 30 minutes over the entire time that I end up doing this. But now rather than 25 minitues down for yesterday, I’m over 40.
Oh well, I’ll see if i catch up – if not whatever. Apologies for being sick.
Last couple of day have been an awful time for health and sleep. Pip (as in Pippin or Peregrin) my mostly-delightful cat has been deciding that 4 – 8 time are night are the perfect times to cause a ruckus. And to think that the greedy little bastard is mainly after food. Probably half the reason I’m sick. Of course the other half it that its friggin cold and much colder much earlier than it has been the last few years I’ve lived here.
This week isn’t going to be good in general. Nothing to do with this.
Day 5,
- BMI: 26.82
- Weight: 77.4
- Age: 25
- Exercise/Total: 5 / 17
Oh man do I not feel well. I was so sick – today I could barely stomach food let alone playing some exercise (?!?)
It didn’t help that I did it very late, after I’d eaten a very pitiful dinner, but a dinner none-the-less. All other results had been done before dinner, almost as soon as I’ve gotten home from work. Anyway just under as heavy as I’ve been since I started this. Not what I needed/wanted to hear. (“Duck you Wii Fit!” is similiar to what it heard.
I found the ultimate balance test near thats pig/wii board. Yeah doing it while sick and dizzy = bad. Went to bed earlier
